Job Description

Boys Soccer — Assistant

Girls Soccer — Junior Varsity, Assistant

Volleyball - Modified, Assistant

Girls Tennis — Assistant

Game Day Cheer - Assistant

Core Responsibilities

• Athletic Instruction & Strategy:
  • Plan and lead daily practice sessions focused on skill development and physical conditioning.
  • Develop game strategies, playbooks, and lineups tailored to the team's strengths.
  • Direct and motivate athletes during competitions, making real-time tactical adjustments.
• Student Mentorship & Safety:
  • Monitor the academic performance of athletes to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
  • Enforce a firm but productive discipline framework and the school's code of conduct.
  • Provide constant supervision at practices, games, and during team travel.
  • Administer first aid or CPR in the event of an injury and follow established safety protocols.
• Administrative & Logistics:
  • Manage team rosters, equipment inventory, and uniform distribution/collection.
  • Coordinate with the Athletic Director on game scheduling, transportation, and budgeting.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and school staff.

 

Job Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • Valid NYS coaching certification 
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Completion of concussion awareness training.
• Experience: Previous coaching or competitive playing experience in the specific sport is typically required.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
