Job Description

A Senior Class Advisor is responsible for guiding and supporting senior students throughout their final academic year. The role often includes organizing senior activities, advising student leaders, coordinating graduation-related events, and serving as a liaison between students, faculty, administration, and parents.

The Senior Class Advisor mentors and supervises the senior class, helping students plan and execute class activities, fundraisers, and graduation events while promoting leadership, responsibility, and school spirit.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and supervise senior class officers and committees
• Assist with planning senior events such as:
  • Senior trip
  • Graduation activities
  • Senior awards/events
  • Senior Dinner Dance 
• Coordinate fundraising activities and manage class budgets
• Ensure activities comply with school policies and procedures
• Attend class meetings and student events
• Communicate with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
• Encourage student leadership and participation
• Help resolve conflicts and support positive student behavior
• Oversee deadlines related to graduation and senior activities

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Current teaching certification 
• Experience working with high school students
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage budgets and event planning
• Experience with student activities or advising preferred
